vLoc3 Accessory A-Frame
The vLoc3 Series Accessory A-Frame accessory is used to detect ground faults on pipes and cables. In the case of pipes, the faults consist of coating defects. In the case of cables, faults are usually caused by insulation damage allowing the metallic sheath (or internal conductor) to become in contact with the ground. It is intended to be used with the vLoc3 series range of locators and will require a fault find signal applied to the faulty conductor from a Vivax-Metrotech compatible transmitter with fault finding mode.
Transmitter Signal Clamps
Signal Clamps provide a precise way to apply a locating signal. It is generally used when it is not possible or convenient to access the conductor to make a direct connection but there is sufficient room to place the clamp around the cable or pipe, or when it is not safe to make a direct connection because the target cable is carrying electricity.
Direct Connection Leads
The direct connection lead consists of two cables, one (red clip) must be connected to the conductor being located, the other (black clip) to a suitable ground (a ground stake is provided with the transmitter). A few options are available for specific industries and conditions.
Loc3 Series Transmitter Li-ion Rechargeable Battery Tray
The rechargeable battery kit for the Loc3 Series Transmitters are supplied with a charger assembly and custom Lithium-ion battery. Lithium-ion batteries are high capacity, do not develop a memory and can hold a charge for an extended amount of time.
vLoc3-MLA (Marker Locator Adapter)
The vLoc3-MLA (Marker Locator Adapter) is designed for easy, fast and accurate location of buried EMS markers. Once located the MLA will give depth of cover to the buried marker with the touch of a button. The MLA attaches to the bottom of vLoc3-Pro, vLoc3-XLF, vLoc3 RTK-Pro, vLoc3-9800 and vLoc3-5000 receivers. When attached and plugged in to the receivers two marker related operating modes are enabled. In the dedicated marker mode, the receiver screens show a peak bar graph with the signal strength from the marker, the marker type and depth to the marker. In the dual marker mode all the above are shown in addition to the standard utility locate screen including left/right arrows and compass. The plug-and-play MLA will detect any one of nine marker types, in good conditions, buried to a depth of 6’/2m and large flat markers to 9’/3m.
Receiver Extension Rods
The vLoc3 series Extension Rods are inert extensions that mount to the base of a vLoc3 series receiver. When attached it will increase the overall height of the receiver by 30cm/12” or 91cm/36”. When activated the receiver’s software will compensate for the additional height to assure that all depth and current readings remain correct. Compatible with all vLoc3 series receivers except the vLoc3-ML and vLoc3-DM.
Loc3 Series Transmitter Carry Bag
The Loc3-Tx carry bag has compartments for the ground stake, connection leads and more. The transmitter can be fully operated without removing removing it from the bag. The bag comes with an adjustable shoulder strap.
Spot Lock Utility Pin (Pack of 10)
The Spot Lock Utility Pin has a high powered magnet that’s easily detectable with a standard utility metal detector.
Ground Lead Extension Spool – 55 Foot
The UtilityLogic 55′ Extension Lead comes in a compact convenient retractable case and eliminates the need for locating operator to carry spools of wire for ground extensions.
Magnetic Ground Lead Extension Spool – 30 Foot
The UtilityLogic 30′ Magnetic Extension Lead Spool comes in a compact retractable case and eliminates the need for a worker to enter a structure or vault to connect to a steel or cast iron pipe for locator connection.
